Arena Negra fashion show at Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida 2024

Gisela Tejera is the designer of the swimwear brand Arena Negra. She began her journey in the fashion world in 2008. After graduating in Fashion and Textile Design from IED Barcelona, she worked for various Canary Islands brands as a freelance designer. This brief career led her to collaborate on swimwear collections and attend international fairs such as SIMM and FIMI. It was here that she developed her interest in this sector, and in 2010, she returned to Barcelona to specialize in industrial pattern making for swimwear and corsetry. It was then that she launched her first collection, Arena Negra, in 2013.
For GCSW, Arena Negra will present one of its four collections for 2025. Arrecife is a sporty, fresh, and colorful collection that combines a marine-themed print that names the collection with solid black and fluorescent details.
In terms of the collection's structure, we can see one-piece swimsuits, bikinis in a wide range of tops and bottoms for women, as well as briefs and shorts for men. Arrecife is designed for water sports, as well as beach volleyball. It is complemented by fluorescent-colored sunglasses, technical fabric jackets, visors, and rubber shoes that will elevate these sporty looks even further.
