Sirago fashion show at Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida 2024
2024-10-05
SIRAGO is a fashion brand created in 2023 by the Canary Island designer, Silvia Fernández Díaz. An industrial design engineer and fashion designer, she worked for almost seven years as a furniture and retail space designer before founding the brand. This decision came after being a finalist in the National Swimwear Fashion Award and the "Y Young Designers Competition"; an activity she balances while collaborating with other industry professionals. Designed and manufactured in the Canary Islands, SIRAGO stands out for creating its own prints, experimentation, and a limited and exclusive production aligned with sustainability and slow fashion.
The collection "The Journey: Chapter II" is the SS2025 collection proposed by the SIRAGO brand, inspired by the designer's travels and experiences in Asia. The vibrant colors of cities like Hoi An, cuts inspired by traditional clothing, and original prints influenced by places and moments from her travels create a universe that transports us to the Asian continent. The swimwear is made from recycled polyester lycras and sublimated through an eco-friendly process, while the outerwear is made from linen, cotton, or polyester, avoiding mixed-fiber fabrics that are more difficult to recycle.
