The Gran Canaria Moda Cálida catwalk takes another step in its alliance with Maredamare, the leading European swimwear fair

“The objective of this meeting is to strengthen the agreements reached between both entities and promote new avenues of mutual collaboration,” said Minerva Alonso, Minister of Economic Development, Industry, Commerce and Crafts of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, after the meeting held with the delegation. “The relationship with this catwalk is also very important for our fair and we are here to delve into it,” declared Petrossi, who explained that the presence of Mare da Mare “has already been reinforced with an increase in both the number of designers and buyers on the Gran Canaria catwalk, figures that in the future we will try to continue to grow, since I understand that it is something important for Swim Week, to be increasingly known in Italy, and we are delighted to provide that support," he concluded.

Precisely thanks to this collaboration agreement between the island corporation and the Italian fair, three international brands participate in this edition of the Gran Canaria catwalk: DnuD, Pin Up Stars and Pain de Sucre. In addition, Maredamare sponsors the Sustainable Collection Award of this edition, whose winner will have the opportunity to participate in Maredamare 2024.

 

Also last July, four brands from the Gran Canaria Moda Cálida program presented their collections to more than 200 guests at the Hard Rock Café in Florence, within the framework of the 16th edition of the international swimwear and underwear fashion fair, Maredamare. . The perfect opportunity to gain visibility and close agreements with the most important buyers on the European continent. The designers who have been able to benefit from this Internationalization and promotion plan, developed in coordination with the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, are Muchiachio, Elena Morales, Pedro Palmas and Carlos Sanjuan. The four returned to the island with numerous business contacts with stores in San Marino, Holland, France, Italy or even Spain, among others.

Thanks to this participation in the Maredamare fair, Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida gained presence in 40 publications, from 30 international media, with a potential reach of more than half a million people. In addition to all the visibility on the social networks of the Italian catwalk. It is estimated that the ROI, that is, the return on investment, in this case amounts to 216%, which means that for every euro invested in communication, 2.16 euros in media value were recovered.
