Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida unveils the calendar of fashion shows for its most international edition

  • The swimwear fashion catwalk continues to focus on local and Iberian brands and designers, as well as a wide selection of international brands, such as Melissa Odabash and Alexandra Miró from the UK, Anekdot from Germany, Gottex from Israel, Mola Mola from Colombia, Miss bikini and Edelvissa from Italy, Copenhagen Cartel from Denmark and Kamilla Belmont from Sweden.
  • Aurelia Gil, Arcadio Domínguez, Elena Morales, Palmas, Como la Trucha al Trucho and Chela Clo are some of the Canarian designers and brands present at this edition.
  • Among the national firms, Victoria Cimadevilla makes her debut, and Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada and Dolores Cortés remain faithful to the event.
  • The Cabildo de Gran Canaria and IFEMA MADRID renew their joint commitment to fashion by promoting the internationalisation and professionalisation of the catwalk through a solid alliance that has already lasted four editions.

 




The Cabildo de Gran Canaria and IFEMA MADRID have unveiled the full schedule of the new edition of Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida, to be held from 20 to 23 October at the ExpoMeloneras venue in Maspalomas (Gran Canaria).

 

In this new edition, the catwalk organized by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and IFEMA MADRID, highlights the participation of international brands and designers, as a sign of the firm objective for the internationalization of the event. These are Melissa Odabash and Alexandra Miró from the United Kingdom, Anekdot from Germany, Gottex from Israel, Mola Mola from Colombia, Miss bikini and Edelvissa from Italy, Cartel from Denmark and Kamilla Belmont from Sweden.

 

For three days, around thirty designers and firms will show their bets for the summer of 2023 on the Gran Canaria catwalk in the most relevant event in Europe in its category. A showcase to which prestigious names from the current Canarian, national and international design scene are incorporated every year, and which has become an international benchmark on the European catwalk circuit.

 

The catwalk will open its doors on Thursday to designers such as Dolores Cortés, Bohodot, Maldito Sweet, Mola Mola, Victoria Cimadevilla, Alexandra Miró, Nuria González, Gottex and Melissa Odabash. On Friday, Diazar, Edelvissa, All that she Loves, Alawa, Copenhagen Cartel, Sanjuan, Anekdot, Gonzales, and Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada will close the day of fashion shows.

Finally, Rubén Rodríguez, Muchiachio, Libérrimo, and Vevas will put the finishing touch to this edition, followed by Como la Trucha al Trucho, Como un pez en el agua, Palmas Swimwear, Elena Morales, Bloomers, Kamilla Belmont, Chela Clo, Aurelia Gil, Miss Bikini, and the designer Arcadio Domínguez will close the 2023 calendar.

 

Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida will bring together 32 designers and brands in this edition, of which 15 are from the Canary Islands (Gran Canaria and other islands of the archipelago); 8 from the Iberian Peninsula, and 9 international.
