  • Chelo Clo, Como la trucha al trucho and Elena Morales have gone to Florence with their new collection while Pedro Palmas has done it with 'Glam' presented in the last edition of the Swimwear Fashion Week.
  • The four firms have made several commercial contacts that the Councilor for Industry, Minerva Alonso, values positively because "this is the first time we participate and perseverance is important to gain the confidence of buyers".

The four designers of Moda Cálida Gran Canaria participating in the International Swimwear Fashion Fair Maredamare, in Florence, presented their collections on the catwalk yesterday, where they dazzled with a more Mediterranean-inspired and adventurous woman in the case of the trends for 2022 or the Glam style of Pedro Palmas, who traveled with his collection 2021.

All of them have also made several business contacts in the exhibition space in which they participate these three days, organized by the Institute of Foreign Trade.  "Several buyers have approached us, interested in the brand, the style, the trajectory, and we have agreed to continue exchanging information," explains Pedro Palmas. Chelo Clo emphasizes the contact with a possible distributor in Italy, in addition to possible orders directly to the store, while Elena Morales, counted about five or six potential customers and an agreement already closed in the Italian region of Bari. In addition, while at the Fair, she has received an invitation to participate in the Franckfurt Fair, one of the most important in the sustainable fashion sector to which Morales belongs. As the trout to the trout, finally, he highlighted the interest of a possible Russian customer, very attracted by its color palette, in addition to other possible agreements in Italy.

"The assessment is positive, in addition, we must take into account that it is the first time we come, and in the fairs constancy is valued, because it generates more confidence in buyers, so we had to start and now it is time to keep these ex-peditions", valued the Councilor of Industry, Minerva Alonso.

Jungle designs and a Mediterranean and adventurous woman.

In addition to the exhibition space, the four firms had the opportunity to parade their collections on the catwalk yesterday. In the case of Pedro Palmas, it was 'Glam', the collection he presented at the Swimwear Fashion Week last October inspired by the latest evolution of this artistic and aesthetic movement.

The other three firms, meanwhile, have arrived in Florence with their trends for the coming year 2022. Thus, Chela Clo presented on the Florence catwalk a more cheerful proposal than last season. A collection of 15 swimsuits divided into two parts, one with a more marked DNA, retro modernist designs and contrasts with acid colors and geometric shapes that make up the hallmark of the brand, and another more Mediterranean part, with warmer tones that come together in jungle designs.

For its part, the 2022 collection of Como la trucha al trucho, called 'Damajuana' is inspired by the Mediterranean and adventurous woman and presents a series of comfortable and versatile pieces with a color palette that dances between yellows and different shades of peach, combining these warm with sky blue and with prints that resort to the use of waves and organic curves.

As for the Elena Morales 2022 collection, 'Bilitá' - which means "happy dreams" in the Bantu language of southern Africa - is born of shared travels and the freedom to live summer passionately, and brings together a versatile and functional style with tonal tones and a combination of prints and solid colors that fill this new line of the brand with harmony.

The biggest Italian showcase for swimwear fashion

The 14th edition of Maredamare renews its commitment to an increasingly expansive vocation thanks to the participation of the best brands of swimwear, kaftans, accessories, homewear and underwear in an exhibition area of 11,000 square meters. An average of 300 mid to high-end brands exhibit at Marchamare, making it the only Italian showcase in the beachwear and underwear sector.

Moreover, Maredamare has obtained the qualification of International Fair, confirming its solidity as the only Italian fair dedicated to the beachwear, accessories and underwear sector and today represents the meeting point between the best customers and the most qualified companies: from the best known brands to the most innovative ones.
